The LSR format, decoded

Every bank prescribes its own Legal Scrutiny Report format, but the substance is shared: loan reference and property description, a dated schedule of documents scrutinized, the title flow over 13 or 30 years, search and encumbrance findings (Index II, CERSAI, ROC), observations and requirements, and the advocate’s final opinion on marketability and mortgage creation.

Formats are rigid — credit and audit teams process files against fixed templates, so a report in the wrong format fails processing even when the law in it is right. LSR Guru retains each bank’s format verbatim, and every report is signed by an advocate and independently checked by a second.
